Practice Time


           


 

Recommended Practice Guidelines.


Set aside the same time everyday for practice as follows.

Routine must be built into daily practice.

 

Beginners:       20 minutes daily (2 hours per week) - 10 minute intervals

 

Intermediate:   30-40 minutes daily (3 hours per week) - 15 to 20 minute intervals

 

Advanced:       45-60 minutes daily (4-5 hours per week) - 15 to 20 minute intervals

or

15 minutes in the morning

15 minutes after school

10-15 minutes without a book before going to bed.

 

To avoid performance injuries, rest after any 20 minute practice session.
